The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has issued its findings on the July 29, 2022 police-involved shooting in the 1200 block of N. Sheridan Street.
While our internal investigation continues, the South Bend Police Department is committed to maintaining the transparency of our response. As a result, our department is releasing three videos from the incident. These videos offer the clearest audio and picture of our officers' interactions with Mr. Dante Kittrell. However, additional body-worn and in-car videos do exist and can be requested by submitting an Access to Public Records Act (APRA) form.
On this page, below the released footage, we will also post a recording of the press conference held on August 24, 2022. Please allow some time for the clip to be added to this page.
