South Bend Police Investigative Bureau is investigating a series of robberies that have occurred in the last 48 hours in in the city of South Bend and surrounding area. The suspects in these robberies are described as black males, possibly in their late teens to early 20s
On today’s date around 1am, five unknown male blacks entered a store in the 1800 block of S. Miami. One of the males was armed with what appeared to be a firearm. This same location was robbed on June 5 at 10:41pm in the same or similar fashion.
Detectives are investigating two other robberies potentially connected.
Officers responded to the 500 block of E. LaSalle around 1:11am on June 6. Four males entered the store, again one male armed with what appeared to be a firearm.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Lincoln Way West around 1:24am on June 6. In this incident, four males entered the store, again one male armed with what appeared to be a firearm.
The South Bend Police Department is working with surrounding jurisdictions as part of this investigation.
