South Bend Police Investigative Bureau continues to investigate a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon around 4:30.
Officers were dispatched to Pulaski Park on reports of a shooting. Officers found the victim, a 17 year old male, in the 400 block of S. Walnut. The victim had non life threatening graze wounds to the arm and side. He was treated and released from the hospital.
Through the initial investigation, officers learned the victim and friends were walking near the park when approached by two unknown black males asking questions. One of the two male then pulled out a gun and shot at the group, hitting the victim.
Shooting suspect described as a black male, possibly in his late teens with a skinny build. He was wearing all black clothes and black shoes.
Other male described as a black male, possibly in his late teens with braided hair and wearing all black.
The suspect and the other male left in a black Chevrolet Impala.
This case remains under investigation by the South Bend Police Investigative Bureau.
