South Bend Man Arrested in Connection to South Bend Chocolate Cafe Robbery

The South Bend Police Investigative Bureau arrested a South Bend man Wednesday afternoon in connection to the robbery that occurred at the South Bend Chocolate Café on April 2, 2019.

On April 2, 2019, 3rd Detail Patrol Officers were dispatched to the South Bend Chocolate Café on S. Michigan just before 5am on reports of an armed robbery. It was reported that a male with a gun had approached a worker and demanded cash. The male was reported to have injured the two workers inside the store before leaving the scene.
 
This case has been turned over to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Officer for review.

This arrest would not have been possible without the assistance of the community, the patrol officers for their quick response and the detectives who worked diligently to identify and arrest a suspect.
