The South Bend Police Department, in conjunction with South Bend Fire Department and Crime Stoppers, invites families to Treat Night on Wednesday, October 28 from 5-7:30 pm at the South Bend Police Department Garage, 701 W. Sample Street.
Children will receive trick-or-treat candy and should dress in their favorite costumes. They’ll also have an opportunity to learn Halloween safety information, as well as participate in a smoke house demonstration to learn fire safety tips.
Official trick or treating hours for the City of South Bend are from 5-7 pm on Saturday, October 31.
Parents are encouraged to be with their children during trick-or-treating and stay in well-lit areas. South Bend Police also advise motorists to be alert and obey all traffic laws to ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
